Epson l200 color profile for lomond. ICC color profiles for INKSYSTEM ink and photo paper. What is the Inksystem color profile and its benefits

Before you start, you must place the ICC profile files in the appropriate folder (windows/system32/spool/drivers/color). Please note that after each addition of ICC profile files to the corresponding Windows folder, you must restart the graphics editor.

When printing an image, the following procedures must be followed:

1. In the Adobe graphics editor, enter the Print with preview menu and set Color Management in the advanced options. In the Profile line, select the required ICC profile in accordance with the selected Lomond media. Set Intent to Perceptual. Send to print.

2. After selecting the desired printer, enter the "Properties" section. Set the print quality and type of paper you are using according to the table. In the "Color management" section, make the settings according to the selected profile type. If a profile of the second type is used, then it is necessary to disable color management by making the No Color Adjustment option active. In the case of using the profile of the first type, it is advisable to leave the default settings in this section, and select the media type in accordance with the ending of the ICC profile file name. However, if you wish, you can change the brightness, saturation, contrast, hue, connect special features to improve the image.

Printer settings when printing

Example 1 You want to print on Lomond semi-gloss 170 g/m2 photo paper on an Epson Stylus Photo 1290 printer with Epson cartridges using a straight profile (with color management turned off in the printer driver). The first thing to do is to make sure that the ink in the cartridge you are using is original. To do this, without using ICC profiles, print a gray scale on Epson paper by making the appropriate settings in the printer driver. If the print has a really gray scale without color shades, you can continue working, and if not, the further result is unpredictable. Next, in the Adobe graphics editor, set the Lomond_Photo_170_Semi_Eps1290_InkEpson_NoColorAdjustment profile, and in the printer driver, disable color management (No Color Adjustment) and print. If it is necessary to correct the imprint, this can be done in a graphical editor.

Example 2 To print on the matte side of Lomond glossy-matte paper with a density of 180 g / m2 on an Epson Stylus Photo 900 printer with Lomond cartridges with the ability to correct the resulting prints, select the following ICC profile converter Lomond_Glossy_180_mattside_Eps900_InkLomond_PhotoQualiti in the printer driver by installing it in the Adobe editor. In the printer driver, select the media type - Photo Quality Ink Jet Paper and print quality - Photo. In this case, it is possible for you to use additional functions of the printer driver to improve the quality of the resulting prints without editing the image itself.

Note. Please note that ICC profiles for Epson printers are designed for use in Adobe software products and may not work correctly in other cases. Profiles for other printers also work correctly under Windows.

Anyone who has ever dealt with printing with an inkjet printer must have found themselves in a situation where the resulting print, to put it mildly, did not match the expected result. It often happens that the color rendition from time to time absolutely does not correspond to the original. We will help you find a solution to such a difficult problem, moreover, it is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance.

What is the Inksystem color profile and its benefits

In simple words, we need to develop such a combination of grayscale algorithms and inks for a single printer, in which color shifts on the printout will be minimal. Moreover, the nature of the lighting in which the picture was taken should also be taken into account. It doesn't matter if it was a sunny or overcast day, whether the lighting was natural or the picture was taken under fluorescent lights. The finished 10x15 photo should look as natural as possible. It can be seen even with the naked eye that copies made using original cartridges differ significantly from copies made on a printer with CISS. Moreover, both of these copies will not at all resemble the original.

According to popular opinion, copies made on a CISS printer cannot be good, because the CISS damages the head, low-quality ink is poured into it, and so on and so forth. But what about original cartridges? Why, then, do such copies not satisfy our requests? It's just that the whole point is not in the ink, which is completely identical, both in the originals and in the CISS; and certainly it’s not in the head, which the CISS installation cannot in any way spoil. The icc color profile is responsible for the color matching of the copy and the original. When manufacturing a printer, manufacturers flash an average color profile, which theoretically fits any printer. However, as you know, there are no two identical printers, even if they come from the same assembly line. The slightest inaccuracy in production leads to a noticeable decrease in print quality. Of course, if you are satisfied with the average complexion in your photo, then you should not worry. But you want to take everything from your printer to the maximum. I would like that even when printing photos for A4 format, I would not end up with a green face or purple hair. The color profile of the printer is an important detail in achieving the best result.. The correct icc color profile allows you to:

  • achieve natural color reproduction;
  • Get the most out of your printer
  • save resources for color proofing.

Create color profiles for any printer model

In order for the print result to be not average or even as close as possible, but ideal, color profiling should be carried out. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of all print parameters. This includes paper, ink, lighting, and the printer's own specifications.

In the original, this is a very painstaking process. You must color correct, then proofread, create your own epson color profile. An ordinary user is unlikely to be able to do this task. However, our company has gone to great lengths to make printing as easy as possible. On our website you can easily download a color profile for your printer model.

However, it is better to order an ICC profile individually. To do this, you do not need to take the printer to a service center. You can download the ICC profile installation instructions (.doc) and a special "target", print it on your printer and send it by regular mail along with the order form. After that, you should only wait until the finished color profile of the printer arrives and further instructions for installing it. Color profile inksystem - will make your pictures realistic.

PRINT Image Matching™
What is the revolutionary nature of PRINT Image Matching technology?
EPSON inkjet printers that support PRINT Image Matching
Digital cameras that support PRINT Image Matching
PRINT Image Matching plugin for Adobe Photoshop

Color management is one of the major issues that all digital image lovers face. The same photo looks different on different monitors or when printed on different printers or different papers. EPSON printers and scanners support a single master color management system as standard. They also support ICC* color management. ICC is an open and cross-platform color management platform in which each device is treated as a color-enhancing profile.

EPSON ICC profiles are supplied with the standard printer driver and can be used for photo editing in various programs (such as Adobe Photoshop). Here are three steps that will allow you to set the color compatibility of your computer with devices such as printer and scanner. Please note that this only applies to RGB files.

If your monitor and printer have different color gamuts, EPSON recommends that you adjust colors by following these instructions (Color adjustments are based on Adobe Photoshop Version 6.0)

Screen calibration

First, adjust your monitor's linearity by setting the Color temperature to 5000K and the Gamma Value to 1.8 (Mac) and 2.2 (PC).

These settings are changed in the following menu:

For Macintosh: Apple/Control Panel/Monitor/Color
For PC: you can use the Adobe gamma utility that comes with Adobe Photoshop 6.0

Now you need to set your color options in Photoshop and determine your monitor's color gamut.

Setting color options in Adobe Photoshop 6.0

Open the dialog box by selecting Adobe Photoshop 6.0 from the menu Edit - Color Settings and set the following parameters in it:

EPSON Printer Driver Setting

EPSON ICC profiles are supplied with the driver. They are automatically installed during the installation of the printer driver and are stored on the hard drive in the following folders:

Mac: System - Colorsync Profiles
PC Win 98/95/Me: Windows - System - Color
PC Win 2000: Windows - System32 - Spool - Drivers - Color

When you install the driver on a Macintosh, ICC profiles for each paper type are also automatically installed. You can find the desired profile by searching for the name of the paper. The PC only comes with a driver for the printer.

You can manually set the parameters for the driver in the menu Mode-Advanced settings- as below:

If you select "No Color Management" on this screen, the color management will be set by the Color Management Module (CMM: Adobe ACE).
Please do not select a specific color setting such as Automatic, Photo Enhanced, or Colorsync, as this will cause the color calibration to be set twice, which may adversely affect print quality.

And finally, you only need to set the desired EPSON profile in the print menu, as shown in the figure below.

*Note:
An ICC profile, short for the International Color Consortium (ICC), is a description of the color processing methods of a specific device, which can be a scanner, digital camera, monitor, printer, or printing press. A profile describes the color range or gamut of a device, and how the device distorts color. With the ICC profiling technology built into the software, you automatically create output calibration profiles that allow you to set more natural colors.
