For example, weather apps will update the weather, notes sync, etc. I would recommend turning off the updating of all applications, except for those that you vital updates.
Auto-lock- the time after which the iPad is automatically locked in the absence of active actions. It is generally best to leave in position for 2 minutes or 5 minutes. Option Never better not to use.
Restrictions- various options for prohibitions. Most often used for parental control. By default, almost everything is allowed on iPad. To change the options, you need to enter the new restrictions password twice, and when you turn off you need to know the restrictions password again.

Split keyboard- if the option is enabled, then the keyboard can be separated with two fingers by swiping in different directions from the center of the keyboard.
Shortcut key "."- if the option is enabled, then a period will be printed in the text by pressing the space key twice quickly.
Dictation- the ability to convert speech to text. If this option is enabled, there will be an icon with a microphone on the keyboard, when you press it, you can dictate text.
Language and Region- in this section you need to specify the language used in the system, as well as the region in which you are located and the calendar. As a rule, here you need to indicate your region, the Gregorian calendar and forget. Change is rarely necessary. For example, to look at Apple's News app, you had to change the region to US. I have not found any other reasons for 5 years.
